Charmaine
Sheh is a 1997 Miss Hong Kong runner-up and in the same year, was signed on to
Hong Kong’s TVB network as an artist. Charmaine began performing in TVB dramas
in 1999, making her debut in TVB’s re-make of the martial arts drama The Flying
Fox Of Snowy Mountain as the beautiful and fearless Miao Yuek Lan. Charmaine
continued to impress audiences with her performances in various genres and overcame
criticism of her squeaky, child-like voice, earning numerous audience and peer-voted
awards. In 2007, Charmaine and Hong Kong actor Bobby Au-Yueng were nominated for
an International Emmy Award in the category of Best Performance by an Actress
and Actor respectively. Charmaine earned her Emmy Award nomination for her role
as Ka Chun Fun in the costume drama The Dance of Passion. Bobby was nominated
for the drama Dicey Business. Charmaine will next be seen in the 2014 film
adaptation of TVB’s drama Triumph In The Skies, playing Louis Koo’s love
interest.
